Our Policy

Our coalition aims to scale a market for differentiated gas. Our team works with legislators, executive branch officials, and public utility commissions, to accomplish our goals. These goals include the following:

  1. Ensure regulatory harmonization

  2. Create certification neutrality and interoperability

  3. Create measurement-based technology neutrality

  4. Eliminate all barriers to a voluntary market

  5. Foster trust, transparency, and transactability

What is the role of the federal government?

The DGCC believes that federal policymakers and regulators play an integral, but limited role in scaling a credible differentiated gas market:

  1. Establish best practices and minimum standards

  2. Harmonize emerging federal regulatory requirements

  3. Promote technology and certification neutrality and interoperability

  4. Promote expansion of advanced measurement technologies
